What Is TeleMental Health Therapy?
Thanks to technology, you don’t even have to leave your home to participate in counseling. There is no need to take time off of work/school or any other physical and/or transportation restraints that may limit your ability to attend a counseling appointment. I have previously completed telemental health training which enables me to provide you with the best and safest method of online video counseling to protect your privacy, through a HIPAA complaint software program and at NO additional cost to you while abiding by the American Counseling Association’s code of ethics. This style of counseling requires that you have access to the internet, a cell phone, laptop or desktop computer that has video and audio programs, so we can interact with each other.
TeleMental Health Therapy is NOT recommended for:
- People who have just been hospitalized, are in crisis, have numerous past hospitalizations or are actively contemplating death by suicide.
- Anyone experiencing hallucinations (of any kind), delusions, extreme paranoia, any other psychotic symptoms, or Schizophrenia.
- For those that are court ordered to attend therapy.
Please contact me to set up a free 15-minute conversation to see if we are a good fit. I outline what to expect from the counseling process and answer any questions you may have. Reaching out to someone can be a scary and yet it is a brave first step.
